6 Characteristics of a Successful Entrepreneur

At this stage of my business development I have been making it a point to study some of most Successful Entrepreneur of our time.

As a one of my old business coach one said:

The key to success is to find someone that has what you want and do what they do-Dani Johnson

Long gone is the Successful Entrepreneur stereotypical image of Edward Lewis, Richard Gere character in pretty woman, the clean cut business person in a power suit making multi million dollar deals in the boardroom.

Today Successful Entrepreneur now comes in all shapes and sizes.

He could be the next Mark Zukerberg, the Harvard drop out who revolutionize how we network and interact with others by creating Facebook which is the most traffic site in world and worth $104 billion.

Or she may be the next JK Rowlings, destitute Single mother on welfare who has created a net worth of 13 million dollars with the Harry Potter book Series, a film franchise and theme parks.

Regardless of ones education or how humble their beginnings, there are too many examples rag to riches self made Successful Entrepreneur.

It is possible for anyone to be a Successful Entrepreneur if they are willing to make the commitment, take action and succeed no matter what.

There are some key characteristics a person must have or develop to be Successful Entrepreneur. If you have or willing to develop these particular character traits, you will be able to command any amount of momentary compensation that you chose in this highly-competitive world of business.

6 Successful Entrepreneur

1) The Visionary Successful Entrepreneur is not so much driven by money but the much bigger need to make a big impact and change the world.

Bill Gates is one of the most visionary Successful Entrepreneur of our time, according to Bloomberg Billionaires he is the 2013 worlds richest person. This Harvard drop out went on to revolutionize the the personal computer industry by creating Microsoft a multi billion corporation.

In 1994 he used his same visionary traits and sold some of Microsoft shares founded William H. Gates Foundation later consolidated into Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the largest transparently operated charitable foundation in the world.

The primary aims of the foundation are health care and reduce extreme poverty, to expand educational opportunities and access to information technology. In 2007, its founders were ranked as the second most generous philanthropists in America and in 2013 Bloomberg report stated that, as of May 16, 2013, Bill Gates had donated US$28 billion to the foundation.

2) Risk Taking Successful Entrepreneur is driven by challenges. They are willing to stretch and step out of the comfort zone. They are willing to test new opportunities and view what most people call failure as learning lesson.

Richard Bronson, founder and chairman of Virgin Group which consist of 400 companies, is 4th richest citizen in the UK. Starting his first business ( a mail order record business) at the age of 16. His business ventures range from record companies, airlines, mobile phone industry and space tourism. The Virgin Galactis commercial space program is schedule to take its inaugural flight on December 25, 2013. Starting in early 2014 one can take their out of this world trip to space for only $250,000.

3) The Driven Successful Entrepreneur is fearless in the face of uncertainty and will simply propel themselves forward without over thinking the obstacles

Steve Jobs , who signature style was black turtle neck and blue jeans, is best known for shaping Apple into the juggernaut that is today. As the co founder of Apple, Jobs was widely recognized as a charismatic pioneer and a Successful Entrepreneur of the personal computer revolution and for his influential career in the computer and consumer electronics fields, transforming one industry after another, from computers and smartphones to music and movies[

In 1995 after a power struggle with Apple board of dictators Jobs left Apple went on to co found projects such as Pixar Animation and help introduce LaserWriter the first laser printer to the market. Jobs return to Apple and took back control of the company his co founded brought it from near bankruptcy to profitability.

4) The Serving Successful Entrepreneur is focus on helping others and by serving others reaps benefits as well.

Media Giant Oprah Winfrey best know for the Oprah Winfrey Show which was a nationally syndicated program, placement on 120 channels and an audience of 10 million people. Oprah went on to created Harpo Productions, Oprah Magazine and the Own Channel.

According to Forbes magazine, Oprah was the richest African American of the 20th century and the worlds only Black billionaire for three years running. Life magazine hailed her as the most influential woman of her generation. In 2005, Business Week named her the greatest Black philanthropist in American history. Oprahs Angel Network has raised more than $51,000,000 for charitable programs, including girls education in South Africa and relief to the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Through the power of media, Oprah Winfrey has created an unparalleled connection with people around the world. Her accomplishments as a global media leader and philanthropist have established her as one of the most respected and admired public figures today.

5) Creative Successful Entrepreneur is concerned with the creation, they are investors in talent their own or other peoples. The most renowned creative Successful Entrepreneur have combined creative flair with entrepreneurial ability to build multi-million dollar business empires

It hard to imagine a world without Walt Disney. A world without his magic, whimsy, and optimism. Walt Disney transformed the entertainment industry, into what we know today. He pioneered the fields of animation, and found new ways to teach, and educate.

Disney was a film producer and a innovator in animation and theme park design. He created some of the worlds most well-known cartoon characters including Mickey Mouse. Disney has won numerous Academy and Emmy award and lent his name theme park in the US as well as around the world.

6)Influential Successful Entrepreneur have the ability capitalize opportunities over looked by others but they also direct the trend and tactic with the business community. They have the foresight to go against the norm and find new and innovate ways to operate.

Andrew Carnegie was a poor Scottish emigrate who started his career as a factory worker went on to led the enormous expansion of the American steel industry in the late 19th century. After selling his company to JP Morgan for $400 million in 1901 turn his full focus to philanthropy. Carnegie gave away much of his large fortune to libraries, churches, non profits, schools and college throughout the world. Andrew Carnegie most significant contribution, both in terms of money and enduring influence, was the establishment of several endowed trusts and institutions bearing his name

Napoleon Hill credits Carnegie as the inspiration for his book Think and Grow Rich which some say is the best success book ever written.

These Successful Entrepreneurs made everything possible just by living up to their dream of becoming someone everybody could appreciate and look up to.

The point is When you dream, dream big.
